Born from practice, evolved for AI search.
Topic Ownership Strategy emerged from a simple observation: brands that win in search don't just rank for keywords — they dominate entire topics. They become the definitive source that both search engines and AI systems turn to.
The origin
As AI-powered search — ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google's AI Overviews — began changing how people discover information, it became clear that keyword-centric SEO had to evolve. The patterns were already visible in client work: the campaigns that survived every update were the ones with comprehensive, authoritative coverage of the topics their audiences cared about. The framework is those patterns, written down.
It has since become a core teaching pillar of the SEO Fighter Bootcamp, where hundreds of digital marketers and content strategists have trained in modern search practice — and it is published on this site in full.
The creator
Ridho Putradi S'Gara is an SEO strategist and the founder of Search Agency, with over a decade of experience helping brands build sustainable organic visibility. His work spans enterprises and startups across Southeast Asia — clients include Ascott, DOKU, Morinaga, and dozens of high-growth companies.
The philosophy
The best SEO strategy is genuinely valuable content. When you help your audience, visibility follows. User first — SEO will follow.
Quick wins are tempting, but durable advantage comes from consistent, structural effort. Authority compounds.
Search always evolves. The brands that succeed evolve their tactics while keeping their principles.
If you can't measure it, you can't improve it. That is why the framework ends — and restarts — at measurement.
